  I feel obliged to offer my opinion on this place, as a keen consumer of the ole fish and chips combo.
  
  There's only a few chip shops in Motherwell which, naturally, I have reviewed. Chiefly Onesti's and The Rex. Time to complete the epic saga.
  
  Marcantonio's or 'Marr-keys' rests beside Wok Express near Motherwell Library on Hamilton Road, in shouting distance of a few pubs which gets them alot of business. They thrive on the squad of schoolies from Dalziel High School down the road though at lunch time.
  
  I dare anyone to try get served in here at lunchtime.
  
  The food is great, and not as expensive as other chip shops, with a constant wee production line waiting for you in the hot plate.
  
  Sometimes the chips aren't piping hot, but that's about all I have to say as a negative point.
  
  They also do a half a fish supper type contraption which is becoming more and more common which I won't argue with one bit.
  
  The ice cream, as has been mentioned, is also excellent.
  
  There's also something slightly nice about the wee box they give you your food in with Marcantonio's on it, as if they take a wee bit more pride in their business than other places.
  
  No reason why they shouldn't either.

  Ordered a takeaway from this place for the first time tonight. Had the order delivered and very soon discovered that we had been given 2 fritters instead of 2 portions of fritters, though we had been charged for 2 portions of fritters (£2.40). Called back to let them know out of courtesy. We weren't looking for our money back or for the fritters to be replaced but just called to let them know. I have to say that the response was shocking! I spoke to 3 different people, the last of whom was the person that bagged my order. In no uncertain terms I was told that the order was correct when it was bagged! Obviously the 4 missing fritters evaporated on the journey here! I can't believe the response I got when I was only calling out of courtesy! Anyhoo, didn't rate the food much either and certainly won't be in a rush to use this place again!!

  Marcantonios is a little chippy quite out of the way from the other chip shops in Motherwell. They sell everything you would expect and it is cheaper than others that seem to have raised the price year on year.
  
  There isn't much else to say about the place that hasn't been said already, the only thing being that they seem to have fresher chips than the others. NIce and crispy.

  One of the best chippys i have been to.
  
  Sells Equi's ice cream, which is worth an extra star in my book! Just the basic flavours of course, but Equi's none the less.
  
  Reasonably priced.The fish in here is always fresh, I have never had a yucky fish supper from here. The chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, perfect! If you ask for salt though, they salt it within an inch of it's life! Not to everyone's taste I guess.
  
  Can't beat a roll with battered sausage for a quid from here after a night out. Grease when drunk doesn't count, does it?

  Located close to Motherwell Library this is one Fish and Chip Shop worth a visit. On Entering there are two counters, one for fresh pizza orders, while the other is for chips and whatever wide range of fried foods takes your fancy. They even offer fried pizzas! Prices are competitive for an excellent quality of food. PIzzas are just as nice as Pizza Hut and they offer a range of toppings. I have never found chips or other fried food to be too greasy as they can be out of other fish n chip shops. This is my favourite in Motherwell.
